Documents Required for Property Transfer in Islamabad

Purchasing property in Islamabad is not as simple as you may think. A number of procedures and documents are required for the purpose. Therefore, we have decided to provide you with a list of the main documents which are required by the Islamabad administration and Capital Development Authority. Without these documents, the property transfer ownership is not complete, and these documents are mandatory for property transfer.

Here is the list of mandatory documentation which are required for property transfer ownership

Documents for Transfer Ownership

  • Original allotment letter should be provided by the transferor. 
  • A Copy of the Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) of the attorney, transferee, transferor, and the attesting officer. 
  • At least 3 examples of thumbprints and signatures of both the transferor and attorney. 
  • You have to provide the recent photographs of both the parties (Passport Size). 
  • You must also provide an indemnity bond with a judicial stamp. This document needs to be registered by a notary public. After that, it should be countersigned by the magistrate first-class government officer. 
  • A No Objection Certificate (NOC) is needed from the Board of Revenue (BOR) which exempts the property rights of the owners from all kinds of legal objections. 
  • Lastly, the Special power of attorney should be attested by the High Commission.

Note: For overseas Pakistani’s, the National Identity for Overseas Pakistani (NICOP) can be used instead of the CNIC.
